The Silent Evolution is an underwater art installation in which 400 life sized human figures have been sunk off the coast of Cancun near Isla Mujeres, Mexico.  The exhibit was put in place last November.  Finally completed, it has started to colonize corals and other reef life.

As a part of MUSA, a project founded to promote natural reef recovery, The Silent Evolution is one of four underwater projects by Taylor.  Exhibit include The Silent Evolution, The Archive of Lost Dreams, Man on Fire, and The Gardener of Hope all created by Taylor to attract different types of marine life in areas where corals and reefs have been destroyed due to nature and man.  Read more about The Silent Evolution on Taylor’s site HERE.

I saw this at Grand Central station today in NYC, and it's creative, unique, ground breaking & very inspiring. I wanted to share it with everyone!
