Belgian-American fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg started her illustrious career in 1970 with an investment of $30,000 and today is one of the best known designers in women’s fashion who is so influential, that some of her pieces are display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  She continues on today as a clothing and accessories designer, judge on shows like Project Runway and a philanthropist.  

Von Furstenberg and is auctioning lunch and a personal tour of DVF Headquarters to benefit survivors of the tragedy in Japan.  This is what charitybuzz said about the opportunity:
