The Sketchbook Project & Tour 2011

How great it would be for independent artists to have their work displayed in a major art museum?  Well, artists from 94 countries around the world were sent blank sketchbooks and 10,000 were sent back full of art.  The sketchbooks are now on tour as a part of The Sketchbook Project that will exhibit the sketchbooks around the United States.  When the tour ends, the sketchbooks will become part of a collection at the Brooklyn Art Library for the public to see permanently.

The Sketchbook Project that started in February 2011, will continue through July 31, 2011.  To find out where you can see some of these independent sketches, participate and support the project, visit The Sketchbook Project online HERE.
