RidzDesign Presents "Third Voice" - Featuring: Calligrafist [Video]

Starring: Calligrafist

Shot and Directed By: Ridwan Adhami

Words From The Director Below:

Are we talking about race and racism in our communities?
Are we talking about judgment and assumptions?
Are we addressing the issues we have within our own homes?
Are we serious when we say we don't hate or discriminate?
THAT is why I made this...
Because the first time I met this brother a little racist Arab inside me thought wow that black kid's Arabic is so good... and I paused and questioned myself... why did I just think that? That's why I made this...
I had the idea that night and walked up to him right afterwards and spoke to him about it... that was over 5 years ago...
We still aren't having those conversations in our community...
We are still having issues letting our sons and daughters marry black brothers and sisters...
We are outraged when innocent light skinned people are killed... and the whole community joins together to stand up against the injustice...
Why do we not stand up together to fight the injustice of our own people against our own people?
We can never truly realize that all lives matter until we realize that ‪#‎BLACKLIVESMATTER‬...

Last 10 Days of Ramadhan #Ramadhan2015

Our lives are ever-changing - we experience both life and death, happiness and pain, achievement and failure, growth and stagnation, with the underlying element of each being a movement in some direction.  In the remaining days of this blessed month of Ramadhan, take a moment for yourself... Think back upon what you have gained so far and how you have changed.  Your achievements and your successes are just as important as your failings and your mistakes as each serves as opportunity to learn and grow.  Reflect not only on what you did but what you had the ability to do. Not all change is good and part of our growth lies in our willingness to acknowledge that we, like everyone, have our own shortcomings.  If you have wronged someone, do your best to make things right.  If you are holding onto some anger, let it go.  Any bitterness or jealousy and hate or envy - just let it all go. Your hearts are precious.  Free them of anything toxic for your own sake before anyone else's. Plan for the remainder of this month as if your were planning for the rest of your life and see that life as if all you had were hours instead of days. Embrace each of those hours that you have been blessed with by appreciating all that you have been given. If Allah presents you with the opportunity to be helpful to someone else, don't let that opportunity pass you by. Your worth and value will not ever be defined by your grades, your titles, your awards, your salaries or your credentials. What people will remember you by is how you treat them and how you honor the rights they have over you.

The Prophet Muhammad [Peace be Upon Him] said, "If any Muslim comes out of Ramadhan without gaining forgiveness and goodness, he is a real loser."

May Allah Accept From Us All !

Ameen
